BELOW --- A couple from IOWA...  These two hardy ghost hunters are atop old ROUTE 66. The MOTEHR ROAD that ran from CHICAGO to L.A., used to come into Santa Fe and went through the plaza.  Depending on the era, RT 66 circled the plaza or just went down the south side of the Plaza -- where the duo are standing. The Plaza is where the WILD WEST's  SANTA FE TRAIL started or ended,  depending which direction you were going. SANTA FE -- - to ST. LOUIS -- or vice versa.  Officially the trail starts in Franklin, Missouri.

THE-FAMOUS-AL-PACHECO-GHOST-TOUR is done year round. However, the tour is best done during the winter. WHAT?  there are fewer tourists and sometime the safari has the town  pretty much to itself as in the areas that are visited. That was the case for this historic mansion that has been turned into a first class resort.  The tour went inside and we lucked out. Some of the staterooms where paranormal happenings have been witnesses, were open to the tour.
